Enjoy a pasta supper in Plaistow on Saturday

PLAISTOW— The Deacons of the First Baptist Church will host a pasta supper Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The menu will include pasta with meatballs and sausage, salad, garlic bread, assorted desserts and beverages.

Tickets are $10 per person, $6 per child, with a $30 maximum for a family.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door the night of the supper. Proceeds from the supper will be used by the deacons to help local families in need.

Used clothing for sale at Good Shepherd

HAVERHILL — Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 471 Main St., will offer a gently used clothing sale on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The sale is sponsored by the church’s United Methodist Women and will feature fall and winter clothing. More information is available by calling 603-329-6047.

Craft fair planned at Citizens Center

HAVERHILL — The Council on Aging will host a Craft Fair featuring 25 vendors on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Stock up for winter reading at church sale

EAST HAMPSTEAD — A Used Book, Record and Video Sale will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 E. Main St., Route 121A, just south of Route 111.

Paperback books and music cassettes are 50 cents each or 12 for $5. Hardcover books, VHS tapes, records and books on cassette $1 each or six for $5. DVDs are $1 each.

The church is an interdenominational Christian fellowship serving the community since 1897 and proceeds benefit the Operating Fund. The site is chair-lift accessible. Call 378-0683.
