Turn in prescription drugs Saturday
METHUEN — The Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration will be holding a Prescription Drug Turn-In on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will be held at the Methuen Police Station located at 90 Hampshire St.
Residents can turn in all expired or unused prescription and over the counter medication. Residents who have prescription medication for turn in who are concerned about their personal information can leave their information on the bottles because the medication will be incinerated immediately following the event.
This event is held so citizens can properly dispose of medication. It is not recommended to throw the medication in the trash or flush it down the toilet as this could make its way into the water supply. Anyone with questions can call Sergeant Gunter at 978-983-8792.
