METHUEN — A disturbance led to the arrest of three people on multiple drug and firearm charges last night.
Charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and firearm offenses are Laurie Van Coppenolle, 27, of 96 Railroad St.; Hibrahim Devalle-Baez, 27, of Winslow Place, Lawrence; and a 17-year-old Lawrence boy.
In addition, Devalle-Baez is charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Officers went to the second floor of 96 Railroad St. to investigate a report of a disturbance at 4:05 p.m. A man and a woman were engaged in a loud argument, police said.
When officers arrived, Devalle-Baez tried to escape by running out through a rear door but was caught, police said.
This triggered an investigation and officers found drugs and guns in the apartment, according to police.
The three were being booked last night and were expected to be arraigned in Lawrence District Court this morning.
