NORTH ANDOVER — Three days after arresting a man suspected of stealing from unlocked cars on Surrey Drive, Officer Brian Faye collared two teens who allegedly stole from vehicles on Fernview Avenue early Saturday morning.
A homeowner at 70 Fernview Ave. called police at 1:38 a.m. Saturday and said he caught two boys trying to break into vehicles. The homeowner said he was able to capture one of the youths but the other ran away, according to the police log.
Faye arrested the captured youth. The other suspect was caught on Clarendon Street. The boys, ages 14 and 15, are charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime and receiving stolen property.
At roughly that same time Wednesday morning, a resident on Surrey Drive told police a young man had entered a vehicle. Faye and Officer Scott Whittaker went to the scene and Faye found the suspect hiding behind a tree.
Michael Robertson, 23, of 479 Sutton St., was arrested and charged with three counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime, two counts of receiving stolen property over $250 and a single count of receiving stolen property under $250.
Robertson pleaded not guilty in Lawrence District Court and was ordered held in lieu of $750 cash bail.
