Free breast cancer screenings tomorrow

LAWRENCE — Lawrence General Hospital will host free breast health screenings tomorrow in the South Pavilion from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. For more information or to make an appointment, call 978-683-4000, ext. 8103.

Phillips Academy hosts concerts

ANDOVER — Phillips Academy will host two spring musical events this month. The events are sponsored by the Bernard and Mildred Kayden Fund.

On April 17, the men’s vocal ensemble Cantus will perform at 6:30 p.m. Time for Three will perform April 24 at 6:30 p.m. Both concerts will be held at the Cochran Chapel. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Phillips students attend free with school ID.

Talk on our National Parks is Thursday

Take a pictorial journey through America’s national parks with photographer and Gazette columnist Tom Vartabedian during a Life Long Learning program on Thursday, April 4 at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on Northern Essex Community College’s Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott St. Come see vivid scenes of Yellowstone National Park with its wildlife and horticultural wonders, along with visits to Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon. The program, titled “America the Beautiful,” is open to the public. Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups, and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public. NECC to host Electronic Recycling Drive April 16

Northern Essex Community College will host its fifth annual Electronics Recycling Drive April 16, rain or shine. This free electronics recycling event is open to the public and will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center parking lot on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St. ACT Secured Recycling of Lawrence will collect outdated personal computers, laptops, fax machines, cell phones, electronics, copiers, wires and cables. No televisions, projection screens, or household appliances will be accepted. This event is part of the college’s celebration of Environmental Awareness Month. Environmental Awareness events are sponsored by the Northern Essex Liberal Arts Revitalization Committee and the NECC libraries.
