ANDOVER — More than a dozen cars were broken into and had electronics and other items stolen overnight, it was reported Monday morning.
Callers from Olde Berry Road, Fleming Avenue and Stirling Street reported the rash of car-breaks at around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
There were five calls from Fleming Avenue, two from Stirling Street, and several more from Olde Berry Road.
Police said in all, 13 cars were broken into. Eleven of the cars were left unlocked and two had their windows smashed.
Stolen items included small amounts of cash, sunglasses, a Nintendo console, a GPS unit, a small knife and a portable DVD player, among other things.
Detectives were able to lift some fingerprints from the cars, which will be sent to the State Police crime lab to see if a match can be found.
Some items were found around 8 a.m. on Stirling Street that may have been stolen, according to the police log.
