NORTH ANDOVER — Police are investigating an incident in which a man was hit in the head by a ricocheting pocket knife.
Lawrence General Hospital called police at 1:11 a.m. Thursday and asked that an officer speak to a man who had been struck in the head with a knife, according to the police log.
Officer Brian Faye interviewed the victim.
Two men, including the one in the hospital, had an altercation outside 210 Osgood St., according to Lt. Charles Gray, spokesman for the Police Department.
One of the men took out a pocket knife and threw it at the ground, Gray said.
The knife ricocheted and hit the other man in the head, Gray said.
