---- — North of Boston Media Group is creating a coffee-table book featuring veterans from all wars and we would like to include your photos and stories in the publication.
The book, entitled “North of Boston Salute To Veterans,” will look at the men and women who served in the Civil War up to Iraq and Afghanistan, paying tribute to those who died and offering insight on the impact on the communities these brave veterans left behind when they went to serve the country.
Scanning sessions have been held and to date, there is especially a need for images of Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq service people.
The release date is in December and will coincide with special events featuring speakers, brunch, a slideshow and an opportunity for veterans from all wars and their families to come together and share camaraderie.
Photo-scanning dates are scheduled in August at The Eagle-Tribune, The Salem News, The Gloucester Daily Times and The Derry News.
For submission guidelines, details on the scanning events, and how to get a submission form, see the related box and the ad in this edition of The Eagle-Tribune.
