---- — NORTH ANDOVER — Two drivers who police said were not authorized to operate a motor vehicle were involved in accidents that happened within a half hour of each other Sunday night. Alcohol was a factor in one of the crashes, police said.

One of the drivers, Dustine Lin Runge, 48, of 111 Perry Ave., Lawrence, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Boston hospital, according to Lt. Charles Gray, spokesman for the North Andover Police Department. Runge’s car struck a tree at Flaherty Way and Medina Drive, Gray said. The crash was reported at 7:23 p.m.

Officer Scott Whittaker issued Runge a summons charging her with driving under the influence of liquor, driving after license suspension, reckless operation and an open container violation.

At 7:59 p.m., a two-car accident was reported on Route 114. The collision actually took place just over the city line in Lawrence, police said.

Two people involved in the accident complained of pain but were not taken to a hospital, Gray said. Officer Jay Corr issued a summons charging Transito Rodriguez, 21, of 55 Bruce St., Lawrence, with unlicensed operation.
