Columnist to talk about Flemmi book

NEWBURYPORT — Columnist and radio talkshow host Howie Carr will be visiting the Jabberwocky Bookshop on Saturday at 7 p.m. to speak about his latest book, RIFLEMAN: the Untold Story of Stevie Flemmi, Whitey Bulger’s Partner.

Carr is the author of The Brothers Bulger, and Hitman, the untold story of Johnny Martorano, Whitey Bulger’s Enforcer, as well as the crime novel Hard Knocks.

Carr is the host of daily syndicated four-hour radio program heard throughout New England, and is a member of the national Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago.

He won a National Magazine Award in 1985 for Essays & Criticism in Boston Magazine.

The Jabberwocky Bookshop is located at the Tannery, 50 Water St. Newburyport.
