ANDOVER — Area residents can sample the menus of two dozen restaurants and food establishments Wednesday, April 24 — all to benefit a good cause.

The Greater Lawrence Kiwanis Club hosts its annual Fabulous Feast fundraiser at Wyndham Andover, 123 Old River Road, with cocktails, raffle and silent auction starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by the live auction, tastings and awards from 6:30 to 9.

Guests are invited to sample food from as many vendors as they like, while enjoying the entertainment. The following restaurants and caterers will be servings guests: Andover Country Club, Bertucci’s, Burtons Grill, Casa Blanca Mexican, Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods, Chefs of the Old World, Cookie Central, Daily Dose Café, DiSH, Dylan’s Bar & Grill, Fisichelli’s Pastry Shop, I Dream of Jeannie Cakes, Lanam Club, Lenzi’s Catering, Marland Place, One Thong Chai Thai Bistro, Salvatore’s, Sandrino’s Best of Thymes, The Irish Cottage, The Party Connection, Three Dogz Diner, Waterside Tap & Grill and Wyndham Andover

For the first time, the event this year will honor a pair of standout citizens.

A humanitarian award will be given to Dr. Dan Hale who is regarded for his work with children at Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Hale has been instrumental in establishing the Pediatrics Center at Lawrence General Hospital, which allows more children to receive specialized care locally, according to the club. The Kiwanis Club is involved in a multi-year donation to the Pediatrics Center to pay for a comfortable gathering spot for families with ill children.

A lifetime achievement award will be given to Bruce Arnold, a member of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame who has been called the Voice of the Merrimack Valley for his work on WCCM and is known for being a mentor to a number of other media personalities. Sports media members Dan Roche and Bill Burt of The Eagle Tribune and North of Boston Media Group will be on hand for the event.

The Fabulous Feast is one of three major fundraisers for Kiwanis, a service club that supports children’s organizations serving the Merrimack Valley. Tickets are $50, with tables of 10 available for $400. To order tickets, visit lawrencekiwanisclub.com. People can also bid on auction items online before the event at biddingforgood.com.
