Town Meeting to offer free child care

(Continued)

The on-site child care service will also be available the following evening should another session of Town Meeting be necessary. It will be provided to all school-age students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Students will have the opportunity to complete homework assignments and participate in a variety of games and activities. Community programs director Rick Galante said this is not a drop-in program and a child must be pre-registered for a spot so proper staffing can be provided.

Drop-off will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the service will end at 10 p.m. Galante requests that each child be provided with a peanut-free snack and drink.

The registration deadline is Friday, May 16, at 4 p.m. Registration forms have been distributed to elementary public school parents via email and are also available at the community programs office in the Kittredge School, by emailing Galante at galanter@northandover.k12.ma.us or by calling 978-794-3080. The form can be accessed on the moderator’s page of the town website at http://www.townofnorthandover.com/Pages/NAndoverMA_BComm/moderator.

The annual Town Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the North Andover High School auditorium.
