METHUEN — The Arts Institute Group of Merrimack Valley, a non-profit art group based out of Methuen is hosting its annual art show at Mann Orchards this weekend.
This yearly event exhibits art from local artists of the Merrimack Valley. It is free and open to the public. The show not only features affordable art by our local artists, but also a raffle, art demos, and poetry reading from the Methuen-based poetry group, The Grey Court Poets.
Money raised for this event on Saturday and Sunday contributes to a $1,000 scholarship given to one high school senior of the Merrimack Valley who will be attending college for an art-related field in the fall. It also contributes to free art demos offered at the group’s our monthly meetings, and other community-driven art events.
