NORTH ANDOVER — June 13 will be a lucky day for an estimated 330 North Andover High School seniors — even though it will be Friday the 13th.
Commencement exercises will begin at 6 p.m. Provided the sun prevails — supercilious suspicions notwithstanding — the ceremony will take place outside, in Walsh Stadium, where the Scarlet Knights win all those football games.
If it rains, the graduation will be held in the gymnasium, as was done last year.
Three members of the Class of 2014 will have major roles in the ceremony. Keval Gala, who earned the highest grade point average, will give the valedictory address.
Victoria Sullivan, whose academic average was right behind Gala’s, will offer the salutatory speech.
Ian Burns, president of the class, will give welcoming remarks.
The awards ceremony will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in the high school auditorium. Scholarships will be announced that evening at Scholarship Knight, also in the auditorium.
