Police Log

ANDOVER — Two men were arrested yesterday after police discovered the vehicle they were driving was reported stolen in New York, according to police reports.

Jose Guzman, 39, of Salem, N.H., was charged with receiving or buying a stolen motor vehicle, giving a false name during booking, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without an FID card and possession of a class A drug, police said.

Guzman was also wanted on 10 outstanding warrants, according to police.

Rafael Maldonado, 35, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged with possession of a firearm without a license, receiving or buying a stolen motor vehicle, giving a false name during booking, carrying a firearm without an FID card, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession of a class A drug, police said.

Maldonado was also wanted on another warrant, according to police.

During booking, the men told police that they were Luis Rivera of Bronx, N.Y., and Roberto Rodrigues of Lawrence, police said.
