Of the 100 calls police and fire responded to Thursday, almost half were fireworks complaints. According to a police incident report, between 12:29 a.m. and 11:57 p.m. police responded to 48 fireworks complaints.
Other calls included reports of loud music, well-being checks, motor vehicle violations, car crashes, disturbances, larcenies and other incidents.
Of the 48 fireworks complaints police responded to, a dozen were reported between 9:19 p.m. and 9:39 p.m., the same time the city was presenting its fireworks display in Riverside Park.
