LAWRENCE — A laptop computer was stolen during a break into a basement room at a Milton Street home, police said.
Ashley Brengle, 124 Milton St., told police someone had broken into her room and taken her white Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 14-inch laptop.
Police said there were tool marks on the side basement entrance. Only the knob lock on the door had been set and the deadbolt had been left unlocked. There were also tool marks around Brengle's bedroom door, police said.
She told Hart she had purchased the laptop from a store in Salem, N.H., about three months ago for $629.99. The break occurred between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
