NORTH ANDOVER — Police arrested a man who allegedly broke a windshield and hit a victim with a blunt object late Wednesday morning.
Juan Gonzalez, 31, of 26 Phillips Court, faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and destruction of property. Police Lt. Charles Gray described the dangerous weapon as a blunt object but declined to be more specific.
Police went to Gonzalez’s home at 11:42 a.m. after being alerted to an “out of control male,” Gray said. Gonzalez left the scene in a car but Officer Mark Wilson followed him along Route 133 into Andover, then stopped him on Route 28 in that town, Gray said.
