---- — NORTH ANDOVER — The accident in which a 15-year-old girl was struck by a car on Route 125 on Tuesday night remains under investigation by Officer Jason Wedge.

The girl was transported to Lawrence General Hospital. She was hit by a car near 535 Chickering Road, according to the police log. The accident was reported at 8:27 p.m.

Lt. Charles Gray, spokesman for the Police Department, said last night there has been no change in the victim’s status. Police are not releasing her name because she’s a juvenile, he explained.

Police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians handled two other accidents which resulted in injuries Tuesday.

Two people were transported to Lawrence General Hospital after two cars collided near Stop & Shop, 757 Turnpike St., a few minutes before 8 a.m. Both vehicles were towed, according to the police log.

One of the operators was issued a citation for impeded operation, police said.

Several hours later, at around 3 p.m., one person was transported to Lawrence General after an accident near 642 Turnpike St.

None of the injuries in the latter two accidents was life-threatening, Gray said.
