SEABROOK — A Hampton couple believed to have robbed The Provident Bank branch on Provident Way in March were arraigned yesterday at the 10th Circuit Court soon after being arrested inside the courthouse, according to local police.
Jason M. Pratt, 29, was charged with armed robbery while Danielle R. Readers, 30, also of Hampton, was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another. Both were arrested at the Seabrook courthouse where they appeared for a probable cause hearing for Hampton police for two robberies they allegedly committed in that town last month.
Pratt’s bail was set at $100,000 cash and Reader’s was $25,000 cash.
Pratt was arrested last Wednesday in Rockingham County Jail, where he was being held on a separate and unrelated charge and charged with two counts of robbery for robbing The Provident Bank in Hampton on April 3 and TD Bank in Hampton on April 20. According to Hampton police, detectives received a tip regarding one of the robberies that traced back to Pratt. Based on the tip, witness statements and evidence collected at the scenes, warrants were issued for Pratt’s arrest.
Seabrook police believe Pratt walked into The Provident Bank on March 22 and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Photos taken of the suspect show him to be a white male in his 20s with thin build wearing dark blue jeans and brown boots.
