Merrimack Valley Credit Union members donate to book drive
LAWRENCE — For the month of April, Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union collected new and used children’s books for the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. Thanks to the generosity of their members, Merrimack Valley collected and donated a total of 910 books.
“We have the best members. We can always count on their support for the Children’s Book Drive, and all of our other charitable efforts throughout the year,” said Carrie Fitzgerald, branch manager of the Credit Union’s Haverhill office. This is the most books donated to the Credit Union since they started their Annual Children’s Book collection several years ago.

Zumba for autism event tonight
ANDOVER — Melmark New England will host its second annual Zumba for Autism event led by 17 of the top Zumba instructors in the Greater Boston area at tonight at Melmark New England - Ballroom, 461 River Road.
Registration begins at 6:30 and the event runs from 7-9 . The cost is $25 at the door.
The party atmosphere will also include a t-shirt cutting station, glitter eye makeup station, vendor shopping experience, raffles and much more! Zumba fans of all levels are encouraged to attend.
