Police log

LAWRENCE — A 37-inch Dell flat-screen television was stolen from a bedroom in a Farnham Street apartment, police said.

Police were sent to 259 Farnham St., first floor, where they met a third-floor tenant in the building who was talking on a cell phone to the man whose apartment had been broken into.

Joel Tejada, the third-floor tenant, told police the first-floor apartment of Reuben Torres had been broken into through the rear bedroom window about a month ago. Police climbed through the window and checked the apartment to make sure no one was there.

Torres arrived home a few minutes later and told police the television was the only thing that was missing from the apartment.

The window was damaged during the break, police said.
