Tires, tools taken in repair shop break

LAWRENCE — Four tires and rims and assorted tools were stolen during a break into an Orchard Street auto repair shop, police said.

Ramon Rodriguez, owner of RR Auto Repair, told police he closed the shop at 10 p.m. Tuesday and found a window damaged when he returned to work about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The office was ransacked, and four tires and rims valued at $500, and assorted tools, were taken.

The theft was reported at 9:24 a.m. police said.

Boy to be charged with breaking window

HAVERHILL — An 11-year-old boy will face charges after he broke the kitchen window in a Bellevue Avenue home, police said.

Detective Capt. Alan Ratte said the woman, a resident of 44 Bellevue Ave., told Officer Jamie Landry she was inside her apartment about 4:15 p.m. when she heard the sound of glass breaking at the rear of her home.

She told police when she went to the kitchen she saw the glass in her kitchen window was broken, and saw the boy, who is known to her, running from her porch.

Ratte said after an investigation, the boy will be charged with malicious destruction of property under $250

The window was valued at $200, police said.
