ANDOVER — A man police said took an automatic litter box cleaner valued at $300 from the Petco in North Andover was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon.
Steven Beltran, 52, of 16 Balmoral St., was accused of taking the device from the store on Waverly Road about 1:12 p.m. Tuesday after a store employee was able to provide police with a license plate number that was traced back to him, police said.
Andover police went to Beltran's home about 3:44 p.m. Tuesday and arrested him on a charge of receiving stolen property over $250.
Beltran also was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of malicious damage to property under $250, police said.
