MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) — A 23-year-old Merrimack man is due in court to answer charges stemming from a stabbing that killed a man during a fight at a party.
The New Hampshire attorney general's office says 23-year-old Corey Furgal of Merrimack faces two counts of second-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Christopher Vydfol of Amherst early yesterday morning.
Police were called to the house where the party was taking place just before 2 a.m. Officials say Vydfol was stabbed in the chest and died after he was taken to an area hospital.
There's no word on what caused the fight. An autopsy on Vydfol is scheduled for this morning.
Officials say the arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. today in Merrimack District Court.
