Salem Co-operative Bank breaks ground on Methuen branch

METHUEN — Salem Co-operative Bank recently broke ground on a 3,000-square-foot branch at 280 Merrimack St.

The new branch will offer Methuen and nearby communities full-service banking solutions for businesses and consumers.

"This expansion exemplifies the strength of Salem Co-operative Bank and our commitment to the local community at a time when economic growth has slowed," bank President Ann Lally said. "In addition to bringing new jobs to the area, it will afford all of our customers, especially those in Methuen, a convenient alternative to the Salem main branch."

The branch, scheduled to be completed by next spring, will have five teller stations, office space for commercial, mortgage and investment services, as well as two drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM.
