ANDOVER — Town Clerk Randy Hanson will retire in March after more than 20 years working at Town Hall.
The town has already received 13 applications as it searches for her successor. The deadline to apply is Jan. 22.
The town clerk issues various licenses, and maintains and certifies official town records. The salary range for the position is $60,000 to $80,000. Andover Human Resources Director Candace Hall said the start date will be mid- to late March.
Hanson began working for the town in 1988 and was named town clerk in 1990.
Hanson said she has been planning her retirement for a long time. She will turn 64 in March.
The Andover resident said she plans to pursue volunteer work in her retirement.
She has worked previously for Andover Bank and as an elementary school teacher.
Checklist supervisors gather in Kingston
KINGSTON — The Supervisors of the Checklist will meet Jan. 5 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
Residents can register to vote or change their party affiliation at this time, or with the town clerk during regular office hours.
The session is being held before a special election scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 12 to elect another state representative.
The supervisors will also meet Jan. 19, from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The meeting is being held in preparation for the filing period for town and school district offices, Jan 20 to 29.
Methuen hospital gets year-end grants
METHUEN — The Holy Family Hospital Foundation received three generous resource grants from Merrimack Valley benefactors at the holidays to enhance patient services and the hospital.

The Abbot and Dorothy H. Stevens Foundation of North Andover: To begin development of a new Breast Center Navigator Program. It will provide newly diagnosed breast cancer patients with proactive support and guidance to counseling and clinical resources, including the hospital's groundbreaking Trilogy Stereotactic precision radiography system.
The Art Connection: Donated 20 original works by Greater Boston artists including Jessica Burko, Roberto Castro, John Guthrie, Jean Hause, JoAnne Hungate, Faith Hyde, David Kupferman, Leslie Miller, Candy Nartonis, Cora Roth, Radana Safarikova, and Cassandra Tondro. The artwork will be hung in the main lobby, solarium and waiting areas.
Tufts Health Plan Foundation: To start an Osteoporosis Education, Prevention & Exercise Program for adults age 60 and older.
Women's City Club's meeting set Tuesday
HAVERHILL — The Women's City Club of Haverhill will have its first meeting of the new year Tuesday at the BrookRidge Community Church, 232 Main St., in Fellowship Hall.
A coffee hour will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 2 p.m. The program featuring Robert Maylon will start at 2:15 p.m. Maylon will sing standard show tunes from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.
