Pelham, N.H. woman, 29, dies in car crash on 93 south

ANDOVER — A 29-year-old Pelham, N.H. woman died and two people were injured following an accident on 93 south near the Route 133 exit early this morning.

At about 6:40 this morning, Vania Teixeira, 29, of Pelham, N.H., was ejected from her 1999 Toyota Corolla and was transported by EMS personnel to Lawrence General Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Damien Davis, 34, of New Boston, N.H., who was operating a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta and Marilee Colon, 27, of Lowell, who was operating a 2006 Ford Fusion, also were transported by EMS personnel to Lawrence General Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and subsequently released.

The fourth driver, Maria DeSouza, 39, of Lowell, was operating a 1998 Ford Ranger and was not injured in the crash.

As a result of the crash, all lanes of travel were closed with only the breakdown lane being available for motorists. At approximately 7:58 a.m., all lanes of travel were re-opened.

The crash is under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Andover Fire Department and the Mass Highway Department.
