BOSTON (AP) — A New Hampshire man who had been on the loose since his indictment last month in a federal drug case has been captured.
Anthony Cristallo of Derry, N.H., was ordered held without bail yesterday in U.S. District Court in Boston where he faces a one-count indictment charging him with possession and distribution of OxyContin.
Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Cristallo is a flight risk and may try to intimidate a witness if granted bail.
Authorities have connected Cristallo to 31-year-old John Forbes, fired as Boston Mayor Tom Menino's liaison to East Boston following his Dec. 17 arrest on drug charges.
A bail hearing is scheduled for next Monday.
