---- — SEABROOK — Police are blaming “unreasonable speed” and alcohol for a deadly crash that killed two people yesterday morning.
New Hampshire State Police identified the victims as Colin Ross, 23, of Hampton Falls and Stacy Walsh, 22, of West Newbury, Mass.
A medical examiner pronounced Ross and Walsh dead at the scene. The crash caused extensive damage to the car.
Police responded to Causeway Street at 4:39 a.m. after Ross lost control of the vehicle and hit a parked car and a utility pole.
Ross was driving a 2002 Honda Accord headed northbound when he lost control of the Accord. Walsh was a passenger in the front seat, police said.
State Police seek the public’s help to complete their investigation. They request that anyone who may have seen the car before the crash or has other information to contact Trooper Anthony Cattabriga at 603-223-8490 or Anthony.Cattabriga@dos.nh.gov.
Causeway Street is located east of Route 1, running between Farm Lane and Walton Road.
Seabrook Police Department and Seabrook Fire and Rescue assisted at state police at the crash scene.
Police did not say if the victims were wearing their seat-belts. But they were not ejected from the vehicle, according to crash investigators.
