Fire Association bingo night

GEORGETOWN — The Erie Fire Association No. 4 Inc. will host its next bingo night on Thursday, July 18 at 474 North St. Doors open at 6 p.m. Play starts at 7 p.m. and includes 16 regular games. Minimum admission is $4 for six cards. Additional cards are three for $1. Four special games include two 50/50 games. Door prizes will be drawn. Refreshments include hot dogs and free coffee. The Erie Fire Association No. 4 Inc. is the oldest, privately-owned fire company, still fighting fires in the United States, working cooperatively within the Georgetown Fire Department.

Fire Association yard sale

GEORGETOWN — Erie 4 Firehouse will hold a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at 474 North St. Rain date is Sunday, June 23. Set up starts at 7 a.m. The community is invited to participate. No early birds please. Rent a 10-by 15-foot space for $20. Refreshments will be sold by Erie 4 Fire Association, including, hot dogs, hamburgers, coffee, soda, bottled water and chips. Learn about medicinal herbs

Herbalist Suzanne Wicks will present a program titled “Culinary Herbs with a Medicinal Twist” on Wednesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. Learn the history of four herbs, how to grow and use them, and whether they have medicinal properties. Participants will plant an herb patio garden and receive recipes for using these four herbs. A door prize will be provided. There is a $10 fee for plants and materials. NECC sessions for high school seniors

Northern Essex Community College will hold an admission information session designed specifically for high school seniors on Tuesday, June 11 at 6 p.m. at its Haverhill campus and on Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m. at its Lawrence campus. Representatives will be available to answer questions on financial aid, NECC programs, and more.
