NORTH ANDOVER — A gas odor forced the evacuation of a 1600 Osgood St. business Thursday evening.
An off-duty North Reading firefighter reported the odor outside LaserCraze at 5:57 p.m. Firefighters and police officers responded and ordered people out of the building.
Columbia Gas sent a crew to the scene, which determined the odor came from an overpressurized gas line, according to the police log. The crew shut off the line.
