---- — LAWRENCE — Police are investigating the early evening theft of two flat screen TVs and a bag full of X-Box games from an Olive Avenue home.
At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man called police and told him he saw three men carrying the flat screen TVs and video games out of a home at 46 Olive Ave. The items were loaded into a gray Nissan Quest mini-van.
Patrol officers converged on the area but could not locate the minivan.
Later, a minivan matching the description was stopped at Berkeley Street near Jackson Street. Police spoke with the passenger and driver who denied being in the Olive Avenue area earlier Tuesday.
However, police had the minivan towed to Coady’s garage on Marston Street, where it will be fingerprinted and searched for other evidence, according to a police report.
Police also issued a warrant for the passenger they found in the minivan when it was stopped on Jackson Street. He is facing charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime, malicious destruction of property and larceny of property over $250, according to a police report.
