ANDOVER — Three New Hampshire residents arrested at gunpoint during a traffic stop Wednesday night were found to be in possession of cocaine, Adderall, and OxyContin, police said.
Lt. James Hashem said Sgt. Edward Guy III was traveling on River Road about 8 p.m., when an oncoming car without lights swerved over the center line of the road toward him.
Hashem said Guy pulled over, waited for the car to pass, then turned around and stopped the driver.
"The driver appeared to be extremely nervous," Hashem said. "Guy saw a large roll of cash, and the two women appeared to have fresh track marks on their arms."
Guy drew his service weapon and ordered the three people out of the car at gunpoint as he called for backup.
A small bag of cocaine was found in the car, and when police searched the driver, later identified as Erik Owen, 38, of 85 Hovey Road, Londonderry, they found nearly $2,000 cash and a larger bag of cocaine stuffed in his pants, along with several small electronic items.
Officers also found a quantity of Adderall and OxyContin tablets.
Police recovered a portable DVD player, five cell phones, and 2 iPod personal stereos from the car.
Owen was charged with a marked lanes violation, receiving stolen property over $250, driving without lights, possession of class B substances with intent to distribute, (the Adderall and OxyContin, and trafficking cocaine over 28 grams).
The two women, identified as Amber Tyler-Dominitanu, 27, and Crystal Graham, 28, both of Manchester, N.H., were charged with possession of cocaine and receiving stolen property over $250, Hashem said.
