LAWRENCE — Hair care equipment and products were reported stolen in a break at La Sister Beauty Salon on Jackson Street, police said.
Magaly Pena, owner of the salon at 287 Jackson St., told Officer John Nicoletti she left the salon about 6 p.m. Monday and locked all the doors.
When she arrived for work Tuesday, she noticed that equipment and products were missing, and she was unable to find a point of entry into the salon.
She told Nicoletti three people have keys to the salon and one no longer works there.
Police said she was advised to change the locks.
Among the items taken were two hair dryers, two flat irons, four curling irons, eight bottles of shampoo, 10 bottles of hair conditioner, and a Liz Claiborne pocketbook.
The case was forwarded to detectives for investigation, police said.
The break was reported at 10:02 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
