There are two distinct ways of looking at Sunday’s fourth annual Brickman Triathlon in downtown Lawrence.
It’s a great race to wind down your racing season. Or, for the rookie, it’s a perfect way to start your career.
The event is hosted by the Merrimack Valley YMCA and will take place in Lawrence, near the city’s YMCA facility.
The swim will be a 250-yard serpentine course in the Lawrence YMCA pool.
Then it moves to cycling, where racers will start the 10-mile bike route at the transition area on Campagnone Common, completing three loops of the 3.4 mile course.
The final leg is a flat, three-mile run, which is 4.5 loops around Campagnone Common.
There are a maximum of 250 entrants (individuals or teams of 2-3 people). Registration fees are $75 per individual and $108 per team. The race proceeds will benefit the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity. You can go to http://www.active.com/donate/2013brickmantri to donate.
