Paintings of Lawrence and the Bread and Roses Strike by Fasanella and working drawings of mill machinery in Lowell will be exhibited in Lawrence Heritage State Park’s Gallery, located at 1 Jackson St.
The opening reception, including jazz music, is on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 5-7 p.m.

Seminar on breast cancer is today

Blood drive set for Oct. 15
LAWRENCE - The American Red Cross will hold a community blood drive Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services, 172 Lawrence St.
Eligibility criteria for blood donors are available on the American Red Cross website at www.redcross.org. All presenting donors at the Mary Immaculate blood drive will be eligible to win a $200 VISA gift card, courtesy of Suburban Propane. Pentucket Burial Ground Tour planned
A tour of the historic Pentucket Burial Ground will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to noon. Set aside in 1660, the Pentucket Burial Ground is Haverhill’s oldest cemetery. Listen to stories about some of Haverhill’s 17th and 18th century inhabitants while touring their final resting place. The tour leaves from the Buttonwoods Museum parking lot and includes a scavenger hunt for children. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children ages 7 to 17. CNA Information Session is Thursday at NECC Riverwalk
An information session for individuals interested in becoming a certified nurses aide or home health aide will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. at NECC Riverwalk, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Lawrence. Community Action Inc. of Haverhill will offer this six-week nurse aid training program in partnership with Northern Essex Community College’s Center for Corporate and Community Education. This 150-hour daytime program prepares students to sit for the state licensing test to become certified nurses aides and also become a home health aide. The program includes theory, clinical skills and clinical practice at a long term care facility under the supervision of a registered nurse.
