Cookie is a 9-year-old spayed female domestic long hair calico cat. Her owner had a fall and could no longer care for her.
She is good with children, but would do best in a home where she is the only cat. She is very loveable and sweet-natured. She is mellow, easygoing and affectionate.
Cookie is just one of the many pets available for adoption at the shelter at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway in Methuen. The shelter is open Tuesday and Thursday, from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. It is closed on Monday.
