NORTH ANDOVER — An Elm Street man was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with dealing cocaine from his home, police said.
Investigators also were able to arrest an alleged customer, also from North Andover, and the alleged dealer's suspected supplier who showed up while police were there.
Kevin Cronin, 52, of 88 Elm St., was charged with distribution of cocaine and distribution of cocaine in a school zone. Thomas Fabiani, 46, of 3 Green Meadow Lane, was charged with possession of cocaine (powder), and driving without a license.
David Rodriguez, 28, of 79 Abbott St., Lawrence, was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking cocaine in a school zone, and failure to stop for a police officer.
"The last couple of months we had received information about possible drug dealing in the Elm Street and Water Street area," Detective Lt. Paul Gallagher said yesterday.
He said detectives conducted surveillance on several occasions.
After investigating further, detectives went to the home Tuesday afternoon and spotted a hand-to-hand drug sale from Cronin to Fabiani, police said.
Gallagher said Fabiani was allowed to drive away and stopped a short distance away and arrested.
Detectives then arrested Cronin on his doorstep, and moments later arrested Rodriguez, who was coming to the home to deliver more cocaine, police said.
Rodriguez tried to drive away but was stopped and pulled from his car. Police found 32 grams of crack cocaine and an envelope containing $509 in cash in the front seat.
Rodriguez also had $64 cash in his wallet.
