Every Thursday and Sunday, members of the Cape Ann RC Model Club gather at a field tucked behind Long Hill Orchard in West Newbury to fly remote-controlled planes, helicopters and jets. The members range in age, from children learning to fly with their parents to retired people with newly-discovered free time, and in experience, from novices to skilled pilots who compete in air shows. Regardless of ability or age, they all share a passion for aviation and learning new tricks. Cody Wojcik, who has been flying for nine years and competing in shows for five, enjoys flying because "there's always something new to learn. I never get bored of it."
