Babysitter training offered in Pelham

PELHAM — Pelham Public Library, 24 Village Green, hosts a Red Cross training course in baby-sitting Aug. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $85 and must be paid in advance. The course is for youths ages 11 and up. Call 635-7581 to register

Win free Internet service in Sandown

SANDOWN — Granite State Communications is offering a special drawing for six months of free high-speed Internet service to any current Internet customer who stops by GSC’s booth at Sandown’s Old Home Days celebration. Any customers who want to sign up for Internet service while at the fair will also be entered into the drawing.

GSC’s booth will be at the fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While at the booth customers can also enter a raffle to win additional prizes, take home a thank you gift, and get balloons for their children.

GSC is also sponsoring the 21th Annual 5-Miler and Kids’ 1K race again this year. This marks the 18th year that the company has sponsored this annual event, which attracts around 150 runners.

EAST HAMPSTEAD — An indoor/outdoor yard sale will be held rain or shine Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 15-17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church at 225 E. Main St., Route 121A.

Check out glassware, linens, decorations, toys, puzzles, records, VHS tapes, DVDs, baskets, televisions, microwave, electronics, furniture, exercise equipment and more.

The church is an interdenominational Christian fellowship serving the community since 1897 and proceeds benefit the Operating Fund. Call 378-0683.
