Fourteen hopefuls vie for 10 Derry House seats

DERRY — Fourteen candidates square off for 10 slots on the November ballot for District 6 state representative.

The field includes seven Republicans incumbents, three GOP newcomers and four Democrats.

Elective experience: State representative, Derry Charter Commission

What do you plan to do if elected?: Serve the people with good common sense, fiscal responsibility, more and better jobs, a quality education, affordable medical care, safety, keep taxes and regulations limited.

Beverly Ferrante

Age: 67

Party: Republican

Occupation: Director of Derry Farmers Market

Incumbent: Yes

Elective experience: State representative, Derry Town Council

What do you plan to do if elected?: Continue to protect New Hampshire advantage, control state spending, lower taxes on families and small business, support fiscal responsibility and limited government, protect constitutional rights.

What do you plan to do if elected? Continue work on the state’s budget; attract business, and continue to lower the taxes/fees put in place by the previous Democratic controlled legislators.
