SARL's annual flea market, yard sale is Saturday

SALEM — The Salem Animal Rescue League will host its annual Fido’s Fantastic Flea Market and Yard Sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be held in the parking lot of the old Circuit City and Ultimate Electronics store at 408 South Broadway.

All proceeds from the yard sale will directly benefit the homeless animals currently in need at SARL. Questions about the event or anyone interested in donating items to be sold at the yard sale should contact D.J. Bettencourt at 893-3210, Ext. 202, or at djbettencourt@sarl-nh.org.

Art show to benefit African orphans

PLAISTOW — On Saturday, the students of the De Clerck Gallery will be holding a special art show to support the work of Kulea Villages in Tanzania.

The proceeds of all sales of the show will go to support bringing fresh clean drinking water to this village. There will be more than 70 water-themed pieces of original art work for sale in oil, watercolors, pastels and graphite media.

The students are trying to make a positive difference in the lives of more than 700 orphans in this African community.

Salem announces summer Town Hall hours

SALEM — Selectmen have set new Town Hall hours for this summer.

The new schedule will be in effect from June 3 to Aug. 30. The new hours include being open on Mondays until 7 p.m. and closing at noon on Fridays. Town Hall will open at 8:30 a.m. each day.

Town Hall will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The building will be closed May 27 for Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day on Sept. 2

Try chair yoga class at the library

HAMPSTEAD— There is a free chair yoga class at the Hampstead Public Library on Tuesday, May 7, at 3 p.m.
