BEDFORD — Discover how much fun Girl Scout day camp can be, meet the camp director and get questions answered on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Camp Kettleford on Camp Allen Road. All girls are invited.
Camp Kettleford offers seven weeks of day camp, in one- and two-week programs of fun, friendship and adventure for girls in grades K-8.
The fun starts June 24 and runs through Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before and after care is available.
Girls can choose from programs including geocaching, cooking, archery, being a detective, painting, wildlife and jewelry making.
Girls also enjoy swimming, games, arts and crafts, and other camp activities. Fees start at $170. Girls who are not currently Girl Scouts pay a $12 registration fee. Financial aid is available for those who qualify, but you must register and apply soon.
Depending on the session, buses are available from Derry, Londonderry, Pelham and Windham. There is no extra charge to ride the bus; the cost is included in the fee.
There are also two resident camps, one in Antrim and one in Thetford, Vt.
