CONCORD (AP) — Gov. Maggie Hassan is nominating her predecessor’s budget director to head New Hampshire’s revenue agency.
Hassan announced Tuesday she will nominate John Beardmore as commissioner of the Department of Revenue Administration at Wednesday’s Executive Council meeting. Beardmore served as Gov. John Lynch’s budget director before moving over to the Department of Safety where he is administration director. He also worked in the office that advises lawmakers as they write the state budget.
Hassan said Beardmore’s deep understanding of state government, his integrity and ability to bring people together make him an ideal candidate.
Beardmore, who lives in Hopkinton, will succeed Kevin Clougherty.
