Hear the candidates in Windham

WINDHAM — The Woman’s Club will host Candidates Night on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.

The event will include candidates for selectmen, School Board and other offices in the town election in March.

For more information, contact Ruth Coole at 434-6220.

Donate blood, enjoy some pizza

DERRY — The American Red Cross and Promises to Keep in Derry are teaming up to host a blood drive on Tuesday from 1 to 6 p.m. The event center is located at 199 Rockingham Road.

As a thank you for donating, donors will be served pizza, courtesy of Domino’s Pizza of Derry.

Since early January severe weather has caused the cancellation of blood drives across the country and here in New England; as a result the Red Cross is in urgent need of donors with type O, and especially type O negative blood. Type O negative blood is called the universal blood type because it can be transfused to any patient who needs blood regardless of their own blood type.

Call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment today. Walk-ins are always welcome. A blood donor card or valid ID is necessary to donate.
