'Princess Allison' will be celebrated at Salem High tonight

SALEM — Salem High School is showing its love for 6-year-old Allison tonight as they celebrate her upcoming Make-A-Wish experience.

Allison’s wish is to be a princess. Like her favorite princess, Merida, she knows about being brave. Her days are filled with doctor visits, treatment plans and uncertainty.

The Salem High Blue Devils will be showering Allison with gifts prior to tip-off against the Londonderry Lancers. As an honorary Blue Devil, PrincessAllison will sing the national anthem. Throughout the game, funds will be raised to support

Allison’s Make-A-Wish experience. Allison departs on her wish trip Feb. 23.

Summer job openings listed in Plaistow

PLAISTOW — Application packets for employment in Plaistow Recreations Summer Recreation Program are available at the Plaistow Town Hall and online at plaistow.com.

These positions include counselors and counselors in training. The Summer Recreation Program is housed outdoors at the PARC facility located on Old County Road.

This is a minimum of a six-week commitment. There are looking for individuals with good leadership qualities, who enjoy children and have good decision-making skills.

The deadline for counselor positions is March 15 and counselor-in-training positions is April 1. Call the Recreation Department with questions at 382-5200, Ext. 18.

Fish & Game talks climate change

CONCORD — Learn more about climate change at a free talk at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord,.

No preregistration is necessary. Fish and Game is presenting the session in cooperation with the National Wildlife Federation.

Three biologists will team up to discuss up-and-coming wildlife issues, from moose to birds.

NH Fish and Game moose biologist Kris Rines will explain the interesting challenges the state’smoose are facing and give an update on the current large-scale moose study occurring in northern New Hampshire.
