PELHAM – Republicans Charlene Takesian and Patrick “Paddy” Culbert claimed two of 11 House seats in the Pelham-Hudson district.
Their wins will double the town’s representation in the House.
Republican Shaun Doherty was the town’s lone representative this session. He chose not to seek re-election.
Democrats Hal Lynde, a selectman and Takesian’s husband, and Ann Clark-Balcom lost in their bids for office.
Winners from Hudson included Lynne Ober, Lars Christiansen, Russell Ober, Shawn Jasper, Bob Haefner, Jordan Ulery, Andy Renzullo, Maryann Knowles and Richard LeVasseur.
