---- — METHUEN — Salem Cooperative Bank on Merrimack Street is holding a food drive until Christmas.
All food will be donated to Neighbors in Need. The organization serves 500 meals a week and 1,000 meals on both Thanksgiving and Christmas to Greater Lawrence families in need of assistance.
Since its inception nearly 30 years ago, Neighbors in Need has given away more than 1 million pounds of food.
Collection boxes are located in the lobby of the bank at 284 Merrimack St.

Prudential Verani kicks off coat drive
LONDONDERRY — Prudential Verani Realty seeks coats for its 11th annual coat drive.
Prudential Verani has collected more than 50,000 coats over the years and donated them to charities. The company’s coat drive committee is led by customer account manager Val Lewis, who is coordinating the effort along with seven team leaders.
Coats can be dropped off at the following local Verani offices: One Verani Way, Londonderry, and 236 N. Broadway, Salem.

Dollars & Sense Workshop is Wednesday
DERRY — The Dollars & Sense Workshop for families is Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy.
The workshop brings together a panel of experts who will provide sound, easy-to-follow advice for families. Attendees who register by Monday will be eligible to win two raffle prizes, a $150 Hannaford gift card and a $100 Van Otis gift card.
Dee Lee, financial educator, author and radio talk show host, will be the keynote speaker. An advocate for financial literacy, Lee understands the importance of financial education for contemporary families.
The workshop also includes a panel discussion with Lee and two local experts who will address the importance of talking with children about money and advice on where to find the extra dollars that add up over the course of a year.
