Man charged in Londonderry child porn case

Sexual photos texted to 17-year-old

LONDONDERRY — A Manchester man is being held on $100,000 cash bail after he was arrested on child pornography charges.

Joshua Flood, 19, was arrested by Londonderry police on a warrant Wednesday on three counts of distributing child sexual abuse images.

Flood is charged with texting sexually explicit images to a 17-year-old girl on several occasions in October. The images showed the two having sex, according to a police affidavit.

The Londonderry teen told police Oct. 9 that she had filed for an emergency restraining order against Flood the day before because he was harassing her.

He allegedly threatened to post the images on Facebook, the girl said. There was at least one video and 10 photos, she said.

Flood was arrested about 5 p.m. and held on $20,000 cash bail pending his arraignment Thursday in 10th Circuit Court in Derry.

Police searched Flood’s home and seized two cell phones, a laptop and a tablet, the affidavit said. Authorities found three sexually explicit images during their investigation.

Judge John Coughlin set Flood’s bail at $100,000 cash and scheduled a probable cause hearing for Wednesday. He remained incarcerated yesterday at the county jail.

Prosecutor Kevin Coyle said a high bail was requested because Flood violated his bail conditions in a pending drug case.

Coughlin also ordered that Flood not have any contact with girls under 18, possess weapons, or drink alcohol or use drugs.
